Plum Loco Animal Farm: Plum Loco in Door County is our family's favorite place to visit because it offers a fun, interactive, and educational farm experience in a peaceful, family-friendly environment. Kids can safely interact with friendly farm animals like ponies, goats, sheep, donkeys, and bunnies, and they absolutely love the kid-sized play farm, where they can "work" in a pretend barn, drive wooden tractors, and play in a farm market setup. Unlike commercial petting zoos, Plum Loco has a laid-back, no-rush atmosphere with open spaces, picnic areas, and scenic countryside views—perfect for a relaxing family day. Instead of typical "feed the animals" experiences, the farm provides its own healthy treats to ensure the animals' well-being, teaching kids a respectful way to interact with them. Plus, by limiting the number of visitors at a time, Plum Loco creates a calm and intimate experience without overwhelming crowds, making it the perfect low-tech, wholesome outing for families with young children.

The park offers many walking trails, picnic tables for lunch, and barbecue pits for a complete outdoor experience. This is not a great visit for little ones because of the steep drop offs and dangerous cliffs but still breath taking.
